Every year New Zealand Opera support their current 2020 Dame Malvina Major NZ Opera Studio Artists by sponsoring their placement at New Zealand Opera School.

This year those artists are: Anna Simmons (Soprano), Harry Grigg (Tenor), Felicity Tomkins (Soprano). To celebrate their involvement each year NZ Opera School presents a Recital at the beautiful Heritage House in Whanganui.
Accompanied by the talented David Kelly today the three artists will be performing alongside Angus Simmons (Baritone) whom was the 2019 Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artists with NZ Opera, to complete the quartet.
After the recital the 200+ strong audience will enjoy afternoon tea provided by our wonderful supporters at Whanganui Opera Week.
This will be our first public event of 2020 and a treasured occasion.
