Debbie joined the New Zealand Opera School in 2021 as administrator and was a member of the Whanganui Opera Week Committee since 2017. Debbie was appointed to the role of General Manager in 2025 and is passionate about supporting the Trustees and Management Team in their mission provide exceptional training and support to aspiring, young opera singers in New Zealand.
With a career of 25 years in marketing and operations, Debbie co-ordinates every aspect of the two-week residential Opera School at Whanganui Collegiate School each January. Throughout the year she supports the Executive Director, Donald Trott and Trustees to ensure the Charity’s activities align with its mission and strategic objectives. Debbie enjoys the variety of work associated with Arts Administration and ensuring operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and impactful engagement with donors, sponsors, and the public and believes it is an honour to support these young singers as they look to create a sustainable and successful career in Opera.
