Call out for Cardiff Singer of the World 2023!

We are delighted to be supporting the 2023 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition and have made a call out to our alumni to invite them to take part!  In 2023 the competition will be be celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The competition will take place between 10-18th June 2023, and in order to be eligible the singers will need to have been born between 19th June 1990 and 9th June 2005. What an incredible opportunity for our young, aspiring opera singers.

Founded in 1983, the competition is now an essential part of the international musical calendar.  The biennial contest, which is organised by BBC Wales, was first held in July 1983 to celebrate the opening of St David’s Hall in Cardiff and is now generally regarded as the most important operatic competition in the world.

Good luck to everyone who applies!
