Our Freemasons International Vocal Tutor, Australian tenor, Glenn Winslade will be presenting the Masterclass tonight, 10 January.
Glenn, studied at the New South Wales Conservatorium and at the Vienna Conservatory. Glenn Winslade has sung with English National Opera; Victoria State Opera, Opera Di Roma, La Fenice Venice, La Scala Milano, Vienna State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin , Metropolitan Opera, Scottish Opera, Bayreutch Festival, Australian Opera and Covent Garden.
When asked how he is experiencing the school so far:
“I feel very privileged to be part of the 2020 NZ opera school. We have a great team of voice teachers, vocal and language coaches plus movement and drama.
My area of expertise is voice building and analysis of healthy vocal function.
The young singers need a variety of tools to enable them to build healthy and robust voices. They need to know how to prevent injury and how to say no when they’re vocally unwell. The only cure for a tired fatigued voice is complete rest.
I’m looking forward to the remainder of the school and the opportunity to see all the 21 singers twice more.
The NZ opera school is deserving of all the support, financial and otherwise, that comes it’s way and I hope that it is able to continue well into the future”
